Yoshi

 

Mario's best friend is a green dinosaur named Yoshi. First appears in the game "Super Mario World

Princess Peach

  

She and Mario are great friends, but are known to have a loving relationship  and has been kidnapped by Bowser on several occasions, always being rescued by Mario.

 

Toad

 Toad is the faithful servant and protector of Princess Peach. Due to their zero size and strength, always end up begging to be Mario who rescue him each time he is kidnapped.





Luigi 

Luigi Mario or Luigi is the younger brother of Mario. It is characterized by green and blue clothing, as opposed to red and blue clothing Mario. It is cowardly and timid personality, quite different from his brother.

Pauline 

Pauline, called Lady in Japan, is a female character in the Mario series, which is presumed to be the old love with a mustachioed plumber. His first appearance was in Donkey Kong series.

Bowser

 

The Bowser is Mario's archenemy, the main villain of the series

Donkey Kong

The first enemy was Donkey Kong, a gorilla who kidnaps his girlfriend Pauline. In the game, Mario (Jumpman back then) had to jump threw the barrels and climb ladders to reach the top of the screen where they were both.

 Mario

Mario is a small, fat Italian plumber who lives in the Mushroom Kingdom in most games. In the Mario games, he tries to stop the evil Bowser from taking Princess Peach away, often being helped by his brother Luigi. He also has other enemies like Donkey Kong , although sometimes the enemies can be friends in other games.
